Sales Support Associate

Position Objective


The Sales Support Associate’s primary responsibilities are selling and the delivery of merchandise. The Sales Support Associate is responsible for customer satisfaction as per the company Mission Statement including customer service, generating sales, store housekeeping, adherence to Customs Regulations, loss prevention, delivery of duty free merchandise to departure gate and all Company Policy/Procedure standards.


Position Responsibilities

  1. Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging all customers, maintaining excellent standards, and handling inquires/service in a professional manner with all components of excellent customer service.

  2. Keep up to date on product knowledge information and merchandising promotions.

  3. Assist customers by identifying and fulfilling needs and wants while creating up-sales and add-on purchases.

  4. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.

  5. Handle inventory control which includes; receiving; unloading, unpacking and examination of incoming shipments, rejections of damaged items and record shortages.

  6. Ensure duty-free merchandise is delivered on-time, to the correct location, to the correct customers per DFA delivery procedures, Airline Regulations and U S Customs regulations.

  7. Provide escort as needed.

  8. Performs other duties as required.


Essential Requirements

  1. Regular and reliable attendance. Flexibility and ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictate.

  2. Ability to speak and hear effectively with customers, vendors and/or associates of the organization.

  3. Ability to read efficiently, perform basic mathematical functions (count, add, subtract, divide & multiply) and write to accurately complete work related documentation.

  4. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  5. Physical demands include frequently standing for long periods of time; walking; ability to reach above or below shoulders, twist at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance.

  6. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds.

  7. Ability to operate and use equipment (manual) such as ladder, step stool, objects with wheels, spray bottles and other cleaning equipment necessary to perform job function.

  8. Ability to operate mechanical/electrical equipment used to perform the job functions.
